privacy policy
effective September 14, 2026
Faye works with some of the most personal things there are — photos of your body, your measurements, sometimes the fact that you’re pregnant or postpartum. So this policy is written to be actually read: plain English, no burying the important parts.
the short version
- Your photos, chats, and style profile are stored only on your phone, encrypted. We have no copy and no way to look at them.
- With your permission, each message you send Faye — plus any photos and your profile details — travels securely through our server to Anthropic, the company whose AI writes Faye’s replies. It is not used to train AI, we don’t store it, and Anthropic deletes it within 30 days.
- On our servers we keep your sign-in account and a daily count of how many messages you send — never the messages themselves.
- Faye Plus subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- No ads, no analytics trackers in the app, and we never sell your data.
what stays on your phone
Everything Faye knows about you is stored on your device:
- your outfit photos and saved outfit wins
- your full chat history with Faye
- your style profile — height, weight (optional), Kibbe body type, color seasons, style icons, style words, and whether you’re currently dressing a pregnant or postpartum body
These are written to your phone’s storage with iOS file protection, meaning they’re encrypted and unreadable while your phone is locked. We don’t keep a copy of them on any server — the only time any of it leaves your phone is when you message Faye, as described next. There is no dashboard or database where anyone — including the person who built Faye — can browse your photos or conversations. If you delete the app, all of it is gone for good.
what happens when you message Faye
Faye’s replies are written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. Before your first message, the app asks your permission to share with Anthropic. If you say no, nothing is sent — Faye just can’t reply until you allow it — and you can turn sharing off again anytime from the profile screen.
When you send a message or photo, it travels over an encrypted connection through our server to Anthropic, along with your style profile, short notes on outfits you’ve saved, and a running summary of your earlier chats. That’s how the advice stays personal to your body type, colors, and life stage, and how Faye remembers what you own.
Our server acts only as a relay: it checks that you’re signed in, counts the message toward your daily limit, and passes it along. It does not save the content of your messages or photos.
Anthropic processes your message to generate the reply. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, your messages and photos are not used to train their AI models, and Anthropic automatically deletes them within 30 days — unless its automated safety systems flag a conversation as breaking its usage policy, in which case it may keep that conversation for up to two years. You can read Anthropic’s own privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
what we store on our servers
- Your account. Faye uses Sign in with Apple. We receive a unique account ID and the email address you choose to share (which can be Apple’s private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”), and we note when the account was created, which is how your free week is timed. We never see a password — there isn’t one.
- A daily message count. A number per account per day, used to enforce a fair daily limit. Never the content of the messages — just how many.
- Short-lived technical logs. Like any web service, our hosting provider keeps routine logs — such as IP addresses and request times — for security and troubleshooting. They don’t include what you wrote or sent.
That is the complete list. There are no analytics SDKs, ad trackers, or third-party data brokers in the app.
subscriptions & payments
Faye Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your card or billing details. The app asks Apple, on your phone, whether your subscription is active; we don’t keep your purchase history on our servers. Apple’s privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
sensitive information, plainly
Because Faye is a styling app, you may share body photos, your weight, and pregnancy or postpartum status. This information is used for exactly one thing — generating your styling advice — and it follows the rules above: stored only on your phone, sent to Anthropic only with your permission when you message, never stored on our servers, never used for anything else, never sold.
retention, deletion & your choices
- Photos, chats, and profile: delete the app, or delete your account in the app, and they’re permanently gone from your phone. We have no copy to delete. Anything already sent to Anthropic is deleted on the schedule described above.
- Your account and message counts: we keep these only for as long as your account exists. Delete your account anytime in the app — profile → delete my account — and both are erased right away. You can also email hunterleevescodes@gmail.com and we’ll do it for you.
- Subscriptions: deleting your account doesn’t cancel Faye Plus. Cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings, or from profile → manage subscription.
- Changing your mind: turn off sharing with Anthropic anytime from the profile screen — nothing new is sent while it’s off, though Faye can’t reply. You can revoke Faye’s camera or photo-library access in iOS Settings → Faye — the app keeps working, you just can’t send photos. And you can edit or blank out any part of your style profile whenever you like.
who we work with
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store payments and subscriptions, and TestFlight for beta testers.
- Supabase — hosts our sign-in system, the message counter, and this website’s waitlist.
- Anthropic — the AI that writes Faye’s replies.
- GitHub — hosts this website, including a small file the app checks for updates when it opens, so GitHub sees your IP address at that moment.
These are service providers processing data on Faye’s behalf. Each is required to protect your data at least as well as this policy describes, and none of them may use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service (apart from Anthropic’s safety review described above). We do not sell personal information, full stop.
this website
This site has no cookies, no analytics, and no accounts. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, and which link brought you here, only to tell you when Faye opens up — email us anytime to be removed. The site’s fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a standard request to Google’s servers when the page loads.
children
Faye is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we’ll delete it.
changes & contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and note the change in the app’s release notes. Questions about any of it: hunterleevescodes@gmail.com, or see Faye support.
